Carolina Panthers vs. Denver Broncos – Week 12

Thanksgiving is a time for friends and family to come together and express gratitude and appreciation for many things. Between the large meal, backyard football, fall weather, and Black Friday shopping, the Denver Broncos will be heading to town for a Week 12 showdown.

Under new ownership by former Walmart chair Rob Walton, the Broncos are expecting to make big waves in 2022. And the new owners are picking up a far better team than the one David Tepper inherited when he bought the Carolina Panthers from Jerry Richardson for $2.2 billion.

Proven winner Russell Wilson is donning the blue and orange for the first time with a bevy of dangerous skill players, the advantage of training at altitude in Denver, and a first-time head coach Nathaniel Hackett looking to spearhead a successful new era.

Hackett has had much success as an offensive coordinator and his pairing with Wilson should be advantageous. So the task awaiting Baker Mayfield and the Panthers in this one cannot be understated despite the obvious benefit of playing at home.

If Mayfield can have a strong showing at home after Thanksgiving against a franchise with high expectations and a roster able to make the playoffs, it will bode well for his hopes of earning a longer stay with the franchise.
