What were some key observations from practice Day 12, which was the last before the Carolina Panthers left Wofford College in Spartanburg?

After a long spell in Spartanburg, the Carolina Panthers finally broke training camp after their final session on Wednesday. This concluded what’s been an impressive few weeks for the group at Wofford College, with some progress made and morale boosted significantly ahead of the 2022 campaign.

The Panthers put their players through a significant workout on Tuesday, leaving many senior figures watching from the sidelines for the last session. This was a considerable opportunity for those lower down the depth chart to stake a claim during valuable reps ahead of the team’s first preseason game at the Washington Commanders on Saturday.

Although there was a more relaxed feel to practice, it was still essential for some to leave a strong impression. One that could prove decisive in the pursuit of winning roster spots or places on the practice squad when the time comes.

With that being said, here are four key observations from the final Panthers practice at Wofford College this summer.

Big man TD to end Carolina Panthers camp

There was a jovial feel to practice as the Carolina Panthers wound things down before leaving the tropical heat of Spartanburg. This was evident during the final play that resulted in a rare occurance and jubilant scenes within the offense.

P.J. Walker’s pass was expertly brought in by backup offensive lineman Sam Tecklenburg for the touchdown. A rare moment for the player and one that sent everyone off on a high.

Tecklenburg has his work cut out making the team and its unlikely something like this makes all that much of a difference. But it should provide the center with extra confidence before taking the fiield this weekend.
