Which Carolina Panthers players went missing during the team’s recent training camp at Wofford College in Spartanburg?

Now that the Carolina Panthers have concluded their annual training camp at Wofford College, Matt Rhule and his staff will be evaluating what they saw from the players at their disposal throughout a testing few weeks. There were plenty of highs and a few lows, which is in keeping with this time of year as preparations gather pace for the 2022 season.

The Panthers still have a few weeks left before finalizing their roster. What transpires during three warmup games beginning this Saturday at the Washington Commanders will also play a leading role in the conclusions influential figures within the organization make before Week 1.

Plenty of established veterans took the spotlight in Spartanburg. The likes of Brian Burns, Christian McCaffrey, and Baker Mayfield were prominent throughout as expected, but some also came from nowhere to make their presence felt with outstanding contributions of their own.

For others, it was less clear. With this in mind, here are five Panthers players who went missing during the team’s 2022 training camp.

Charleston Rambo – Carolina Panthers WR

There was a quiet sense of intrigue about what Charleston Rambo could bring to the Carolina Panthers after the team picked him up during undrafted free agency. The former Miami standout flashed in college and was unfortunate to not hear his name called, but the competition for places is fierce and there was little reported about the player’s progress.

Rambo seems to be getting lost lower down the pecking order while the likes of Brandon Zylstra, Keith Kirkwood, C.J. Saunders, and Shi Smith make plays. Just what this means for his chances of making the team remains to be seen, but it would be a major shock if his name was on the 53.

Whether it’s worth the Panthers stashing Rambo on the practice squad to further develop will likely depend on what impact the wideout can make when on the field in preseason games.
