5 Panthers players who went missing during 2022 training camp

Kenny Robinson – Carolina Panthers S
Standing out within the defensive backs was obviously going to be difficult for anyone. The Carolina Panthers have an abundance of young, hungry talent throughout their secondary and the presence of coach Steve Wilks has the scope to take this unit to completely new heights in 2022.
While the starting positions appear to be locked up, there remained some hope that Kenny Robinson could build on a promising 2021 campaign en route to becoming a core rotational piece during the upcoming season. That might prove to be the case, but the former XFL standout wasn’t among the headliners at Wofford College that’s for sure.
Robinson has proven production on the defensive rotation and as a core special teams player. The Panthers will likely put him on the field a lot during the preseason, which is the best audition he could possibly have for similar involvement next time around.
It’s been a colorful journey so far for Robinson. He’s been waived by the Panthers before rising from the practice squad to produce some memorable highlights, which is an experience that should serve him well in the coming weeks.
However, given the increased competition for roster spots and how players like Myles Hartsfield have stepped up, there doesn’t appear to be much margin for error where the West Virginia product is concerned.
