Carolina Panthers might consider Jalen Reagor gamble

The Philadelphia Eagles made waves this offseason by bringing in A.J. Brown and building the offense around Jalen Hurts. They are a team looking to overtake the Dallas Cowboys in a weak NFC East division and made enough moves to be considered a legitimate threat.

However, the one remaining bit of business for the Eagles could be moving on from a receiver who has flattered to deceive over his short career to date.

A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith obviously have their spots locked in alongside surprise contributor Quez Watkins. This leaves Jalen Reagor on the outside looking in, who was famously chosen over Justin Jefferson during the 2020 NFL Draft.

Reagor would be a great fit in the Carolina Panthers offense and give Baker Mayfield another weapon. Utilizing him as a slot receiver and providing a fresh start could be all the player needs to galvanize his skill set.

The question here is what would it cost the Panthers?

Carolina isn’t in a position to spend big at a position they already have covered. Reagor is an option for this team only if he can be acquired for a bargain.

It is a long-shot trade but one the Panthers’ front office should check in on.
