Which players can the Carolina Panthers feel more confident about heading into a crucial 2022 season for the franchise?

There hasn’t been much for Carolina Panthers fans to cheer lately. A series of failed campaigns and not much faith in the organization’s current direction means things are hanging by a thread regarding their fortunes in 2022, although those within the locker room remain high in confidence that things can start getting better next season.

Matt Rhule will be hoping for the same. The head coach has 10 wins and plenty of questions about his ability to successfully lead an NFL team after two seasons, with the jury still out unless things take a substantial leap forward in the coming months.

The Panthers can ill afford a slow start. Especially as they lost 12 of their final 14 games to end the previous campaign after such a promising start.

Despite all the doom and gloom, here are four players the Panthers should feel more comfortable about in 2022.

Brady Christensen – Carolina Panthers OL

After the Carolina Panthers mismanaged Brady Christensen‘s rookie campaign, things look far more promising for the offensive lineman in 2022. The BYU product has been taking the majority of reps at the left tackle spot throughout camp, but many anticipate him to occupy the left guard position next to No. 6 overall selection Ikem Ekwonu.

Christensen had some nice moments during his first season with the team. And this experience will probably stand him in good stead when the time comes for additional involvement during the upcoming campaign.

If Ekwonu irons out some potential problems, then this tandem could provide Carolina with a long-term and profitable partnership on one side of the protection.
