Carolina Panthers cornerbacks

The Carolina Panthers’ cornerbacks will be lethal if they’re able to stay healthy. This unit is now being coached by Steve Wilks, who’s a former head coach in the NFL and back for what will hopefully become a successful second stint with the team.

Donte Jackson returns after receiving an extension as well as Jaycee Horn getting himself back to full health after breaking his foot last season in Week 3. Those two have the potential to be one of the best duos in the league in 2022 providing the injury bug doesn’t strike.

Add C.J. Henderson to the mix and the Panthers might have something special. The former Florida standouts made some tremendous strides this offseason in training camp to become the corner that the Jacksonville Jaguars thought they were going to have when they drafted him No. 9 overall in 2020.

Keith Taylor Jr. and Stantley Thomas-Oliver III are good players to have for depth. This is something Carolina will need when push comes to shove.

Taylor Jr. was impressive when he saw action last season and should improve. Thomas-Oliver excels in special teams and will be seen frequently in that area of the game.

Kalon Barnes, the rookie drafted in the seventh round, makes the roster. He will mainly feature on special teams with his tremendous speed as the player’s coverage skills are still developing.
