The Carolina Panthers have a solid defensive line. With that in mind, they could benefit from picking up another edge rusher just for depth purposes after letting Haason Reddick leave in free agency for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brian Burns is coming off of a Pro Bowl season and is looking for a double-digit sack campaign for the first time in his career. Something that would make him an extremely wealthy man with a contract extension looming.

Yetur Gross-Matos will look to establish himself as a starter in this league and should start opposite Burns. The former second-round pick has flashed on occasions, but it’ll be interesting to see how he handles starting duties in Year 3.

Derrick Brown and Matt Ioannidis will hold things down at the defensive tackle position. Their presence will be needed tremendously if the Panthers want to stand any chance of stopping the run more effectively next season.

Marquis Haynes, Amare Barno, and Darryl Johnston will be important to provide some depth on the edge. Daviyon Nixon and Bravvion Roy will see the field to keep the interior lineman fresh, although Phil Hoskins could easily fill one of these spots and Marquan McCall has also made a splash during the preseason.
