Which recently released players could the Carolina Panthers potentially scoop off the waiver wire after final cuts to boost their 53-man roster in 2022?

Although the Carolina Panthers named their 53-man roster right before the deadline, there is plenty of tweaking to do before Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns rolls around.

The Panthers are still looking for a new kicker after Zane Gonzalez was placed on season-ending injured/reserve and with Sam Darnold also expected to go to short-term IR, reinforcements could be on the way sooner rather than later.

This means a nervous wait for some who made it. But general manager Scott Fitterer has proven he’ll be in on every deal if he feels it can put Carolina in a better position to thrive.

With this in mind, here are seven players of interest that the Panthers could scoop off the waiver wire now that the cut process has concluded.

Carolina Panthers could claim Arlington Hambright

Although the Carolina Panthers made some nice adjustments on their offensive line this offseason, adding another versatile depth chart piece might be something to consider. Arlington Hambright fits the bill having operated at multiple positions, but his production wasn’t enough to force his way into the New England Patriots plans.

The former seventh-round selection has not seen much in the way of playing time since entering the league. Carolina might also be content with what they have for the time being after making some significant improvements in this critical area of the field.
