Carolina Panthers should monitor Nolan Smith

  • Defensive End/Outside Linebacker | Georgia

Another dynamic pass-rusher joining the NFL in 2023 is Nolan Smith. A player that the Carolina Panthers could identify as a primary target depending on how their current depth chart options on the edge fare next season.

Smith is a game-wrecker in every sense of the word. Standing out on the Bulldogs’ defense was not easy, but his outstanding run-stopping and urgency in getting after the quarterback left a massive impression on anyone that saw him play.

There will be more on Smith’s shoulders as Kirby Smart goes in search of back-to-back titles. If he reaches increased targets, then expect his name to be one of the first called.

Carolina Panthers should monitor Bryan Bresee

  • Defensive Tackle | Clemson

Did we mention Clemson has an elite defense next season?

Bryan Bresee might not have had much luck on the injury front lately, but the defensive tackle can take over a game when fit and firing on all cylinders. Something that the Panthers and others around the NFL will be watching for in 2022.

Talent is not the issue where Bresee is concerned. That is undeniable based on what we’ve seen throughout his time with the Tigers.

It’s staying healthy that remains the only red flag for the projected first-rounder.

LB. Crimson Tide . HENRY TO'O TO'O. 22. player. 829.

Carolina Panthers should monitor Henry To’o To’o

  • Linebacker | Alabama

Henry To’o To’o is your prototypical middle linebacker. The commanding presence against the run can get after the quarterback and also provide assured assistance in coverage, making him the total package for a second-level prospect.

Not only this, but To’o To’o’s communication pre-snap constantly put his teammates in better positions to thrive. This was the core behind Carolina’s success with the likes of Thomas Davis, Luke Kuechly, Jon Beason, and further back with Dan Morgan since their inception.

To’o To’o is a focal point for the Alabama Crimson Tide as they look to go one better this season. Fortunately, the player seems to thrive the more pressurized the situation.
