Which Carolina Panthers players raised their stock considerably during a busy summer of camp and preseason games ahead of the 2022 season?

After an offseason that will live long in the memory, the Carolina Panthers made their final roster cuts as preparations ramp up for a pivotal Week 1 encounter against the Cleveland Browns at Bank of America Stadium. All the talk will be of Baker Mayfield going up against his old team, but it’s absolutely vital for Matt Rhule to generate some early momentum in a make or break year for the head coach.

The Panthers went about their business with conviction throughout the spring and summer months. There is balance to the depth chart not seen before during Rhule’s time at the helm, which will hopefully result in more wins and a potential wildcard push if everything clicks into place.

Esablished figures in Carolina enhanced their respective statuses to provide legitimate hope. But there are more than a few others who also came to the fore in pursuit of additional involvement next season.

With this in mind, here are four Panthers players who saw their stock soar throughout the summer.

Brady Christensen – Carolina Panthers OL

There was some concern about what the Carolina Panthers would do with Brady Christensen this offseason. The former third-round pick occupied the left tackle position for the majority of camp, but Ikem Ekwonu will now start on the blindside as expected after the coaching staff made him earn his shot during the summer.

Christensen impressed with improved consistency to become the team’s starting left guard. Something that could provide the Panthers with a genuine left-side tandem they can count on long term.

The BYU product’s positional value was mismanaged in 2021. Thankfully, Christensen has left no doubt regarding his importance after a very strong preparation period.
