Laviska Shenault Jr. brings YAC ability to the Carolina Panthers

Laviska Shenault Jr. is very explosive and a phenomenal yards-after-the-catch receiver. He can turn a five-yard curl route into an 80-yard touchdown with his elusiveness and size.

This will be great for offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, who now has two wideouts that fit a similar mold in Shenault and Terrace Marshall Jr. The Carolina Panthers also have an up-and-coming star in Shi Smith operating from the slot and a great outside option in D.J Moore, who has established himself as one of the league’s most underrated receivers even with a revolving door of inconsistent quarterback play since he’s been in the league.

The more options Carolina has to attack opposing defenses, the better.

The current offense is easily the best offense on paper since Matt Rhule replaced Ron Rivera as head coach. He has a very talented receiving room with each one displaying a different unique skill set in the passing game along with a committee at running back that will be a core component to any success that comes their way.

When you add Shenault in the mix as a running back/wide receiver with immense YAC potential,  this offense could be very scary. But the Panthers must give him some time to learn the system before being used in a variety of roles.

Fans should be excited to see how this offense performs with Baker Mayfield at quarterback together with a deep receiving core, Christian McCaffrey’s return, and an offensive line that looks set to make major improvements.
