Carolina Panthers win 10 games and make the playoffs

This is the boldest of the bunch. But why not aim high with hope renewed ahead of the 2022 season?

Asking the Carolina Panthers to go from a five-win franchise to potentially making the playoffs is a big ask. One that the team might not be capable of despite the increased talent across the board.

Matt Rhule heads into the campaign on the hot seat, although team owner David Tepper remains confident that the former Baylor and Temple man can get this organization trending in the right direction.

With experienced coaches available to lean on, everything is in place. Rhule must also make better in-game adjustments and improve overall strategies if Carolina wants to become competitive.

Achieving ten wins would be far beyond anyone’s dreams right now. Something that would come with a playoff berth and a chance for Rhule to enhance his status as an NFL head coach.

One cannot dismiss the notion that things might go in the opposite direction. There might not be a middle ground for this team – they are either going to vastly overachieve or disintegrate once again.

The stakes could not be much higher for Rhule and the Panthers in 2022. But in all honesty, this added urgency might end up becoming the spark that ignites a sleeping giant.
