4 bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers vs. Browns in Week 1

Carolina Panthers LB Frankie Luvu leads all players in tackles
Much has been made about the battle between the Carolina Panthers’ defense and a supreme Cleveland Browns rushing attack led by Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Simply put, this is the primary key to victory and especially considering conditions will be far from ideal for the passing game.
Winning in the trenches is going to be pivotal. Those at the second level must also establish their prowess in pursuit of limiting the influence of Chubb and Hunt during a game that is set to be decided by fine margins.
This is a situation tailor-made for Frankie Luvu. The outside linebacker looks primed for increased responsibilities in 2022 after a sensational first campaign in Carolina that was full of dynamic plays on the defensive rotation and special teams, which even came with the team’s only All-Pro vote.
Luvu got a new deal as expected this offseason. With Haason Reddick no longer around, the Washington State product will hopefully form a productive outside tandem with Shaq Thompson that should assist greatly in Week 1 against the Browns.
The energy and instincts Luvu brings to the table will be needed more than ever. Expect him to be around the football consistently, bringing a physicality that might lead to a turnover in slippery conditions.
Not only this, but Luvu leading the game in tackles is also a distinct possibility providing the player performs to the level anticipated.
