Carolina Panthers WR Robbie Anderson goes for 100 yards and a TD

This is a huge upcoming campaign for Robbie Anderson. The wide receiver posted career-low numbers across the board in 2021 during a frustrating season overall, but the Carolina Panthers kept faith with the enigmatic figure despite trade calls coming in throughout the preparation period.

Anderson looks focused and ready to prove his doubters wrong. The developing chemistry with Baker Mayfield is also something that enhances his chances of a bounce-back campaign.

With D.J. Moore set to line up against stud cornerback Denzel Ward, Anderson should see a lot of Greg Newsome in Week 1. Although the former Washington standout is incredibly talented, the veteran has enough straight-line speed and slick route-running to cause the second-year-pro endless problems.

Much will depend on how the wet conditions influence proceedings in the passing game. Mayfield must also keep his emotions in check versus the organization that drafted him No. 1 overall in 2018.

Anderson could be an important factor in the overall outcome. Christian McCaffrey, Moore, and Mayfield should generate more attention, so there might be opportunities for the Temple product to go over 100 receiving yards and find the end zone to get his season off to a flier.
