Which Carolina Panthers should you start or sit in fantasy football during their Week 2 matchup at the New York Giants?

The Carolina Panthers played a dismal game last Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, yet almost came away with a win. Matt Rhule’s men started poorly, did not utilize Christian McCaffrey properly, had a porous run defense allowing over 200 rushing yards, and only held onto the ball for 21 minutes, 34 seconds.

With Deshaun Watson out and Baker Mayfield playing a revenge match against his former employer, the scene was ripe for a home win to kick off the 2022 NFL season. Unfortunately, mistakes doomed Carolina coupled with a questionable call made by the referee when Jacoby Brissett did not spike the ball appropriately near the end of the contest.

This was frustrating on multiple levels, but some bright spots stuck out. The passing defense held the Browns to 138 yards, Johnny Hekker earned his paycheck, and Mayfield had a respectable second half.

Fast forward to this week, Carolina has a welcoming matchup against a New York Giants team coming off a phenomenal triumph at the Tennessee Titans to begin their season. The Panthers must correct mistakes and mental errors to have any hope of emerging with a 1-1 record.

While the game is played on the field, fans enjoy the competition in their fantasy football league for the coveted trophy and bragging rights. With the season just getting underway, let’s look at the Panthers players to start or sit at the Giants in Week 2.
