Which Carolina Panthers find themselves on the hot seat ahead of a vital divisional clash against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3?

We are approaching a critical moment in Carolina Panthers franchise history. One could argue things have never been this bad over a prolonged period and unless things shift positively in the coming weeks, landmarks changes could be afoot once again.

The Panthers are amid a nine-game without a win, have lost their opening two games of the 2022 campaign, and are an astonishing 1-25 under Matt Rhule when a team scores more than 17 points. A simply extraordinary statistic that paints a clear picture of how things are currently transpiring.

Carolina must show some fight – at the very least – against the New Orleans Saints. A divisional foe that harbors playoff ambitions despite losing previous head coach Sean Payton earlier this year.

The stakes are monumental and the pressure is on. Here are five Panthers who find themselves firmly on the hot seat entering Week 3.

Robbie Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR

Robbie Anderson leads the Carolina Panthers in receiving yards through two games. But he put himself on the hot seat this week by calling out the fans for booing and not getting behind the team no matter what.

That is short-sighted, to put it mildly. Anderson is getting paid millions to do something he loves, whereas fans are paying thousands in some cases to watch a losing product week in, week out, over the last three years.

One would think if Anderson was in their shoes, he’d have the same reaction. But the wideout must perform far better than he did in Week 2 after these comments.
