D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

Can we say Deja Vu?

D.J. Moore had the same receiving stat line as the first game of the season with three receptions for 43 yards but did add on a touchdown in Week 2.

As the undisputed No. 1 wide receiver going into the season, he and Robbie Anderson have split the lion’s share of targets and receptions as expected. Although the Carolina Panthers deploying just three wideouts frequently is something of a surprise.

Just what this means moving forward is debatable. But if the Panthers want to stand any chance of ending a dismal run of results, Moore must become a focal point.

Start or Sit in Week 2?

START.

Moore is still a solid option as a WR2 in all leagues for Week 3.

With three straight years of more than 1,100+ total yards, expect a bigger game this week against an outstanding set of New Orleans Saints defensive backs. Division rivals tend to bring out the best in players and this contest should be no different.

Robbie Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR

Week 1 saw Robbie Anderson give fantasy owners a nice bump with his 75-yard touchdown catch. Last Sunday resembled his below-par play from the 2021 season with three receptions on five targets for 32 receiving yards.

This was an underwhelming outing for Anderson, who is in the prime of his career age-wise and only has a single season remaining on his contract. Hopefully, things get better immediately.

Start or Sit in Week 2?

SIT.

Anderson seems to be touchdown-dependent, even though he has the most chemistry with Baker Mayfield. Without the big play downfield, fantasy owners will be left frustrated.

The Temple product merits possible flex consideration only in very deep leagues. But do not expect the long ball to hit every game.
