Carolina Panthers WR D.J. Moore surpasses 125 yards

D.J. Moore has put together three straight seasons of over 1,100 yards from scrimmage. But through two games in the 2022 campaign, he only has six receptions on 12 targets for 86 receiving yards to his name, putting the former first-round pick on pace for only 731 if things continue in this fashion.

While still building chemistry with yet another quarterback, Moore will have his breakout game in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints, proving why the Carolina Panthers rewarded him with a lucrative contract extension this offseason.

The Saints will deploy Marshon Lattimore, Tyrann Mathieu, and their gifted secondary colleagues in an attempt to slow Moore down throughout the contest. However, the Maryland product tends to shine brightest in meaningful games.

Moore has cemented himself as a top-tier receiver but has generally been overlooked by the national media. If there was even a time for the player to reestablish himself as a dynamic force, it’s when the Panthers need a victory more than ever before.

To help the team avoid a 0-3 start, we will see Moore come away with at least 125 receiving yards. Hopefully, another week of improving chemistry with Baker Mayfield can steer him in the right direction.
