Carolina Panthers concede 2 TDs to Michael Thomas
At 6-foot-3 and 212 pounds, Michael Thomas has ideal wide receiver size coupled with quick feet, solid hands, and a perfected route tree.
Entering his seventh season after sitting out the 2021 campaign with an ankle injury, Thomas is back to his old ways, dominating secondaries to the tune of 11 receptions for 122 receiving yards and three touchdowns through just two games.
For years, he has been a thorn in the Carolina Panthers’ side. Continually making big plays when it matters, which is something this year’s gifted defensive backs could do without given how much is at stake in Week 3.
Some were unsure how he would bounce back after sitting out a full season and now without Drew Brees at the helm. But Thomas has quieted any doubters with his play and there is no sign of adverse effects after so long away from the gridiron.
Carolina’s passing defense ranks third in the league allowing only 150.0 yards per contest and only two touchdowns. However, Thomas is the most talented receiver they have faced to date.
Thieves Avenue is no longer protecting Bank of America Stadium. So expect Thomas to continue his dominance with two touchdowns on the day bringing his season total to five.
