Jaycee Horn – Carolina Panthers CB

After a rough outing against the Cleveland Browns to kick off the 2022 season, Jaycee Horn looked more like his old self in Week 2. The cornerback was assured in coverage and made his tackles count, which was a significant step in the right direction for someone that the Carolina Panthers are counting on heavily in 2022.

Horn probably needed the opening week to shake off some rust. He’s been without competitive action for almost a year after breaking his foot at the Houston Texans and clashing with elite route-runner Amari Cooper wasn’t the easiest transition back given how well the wide receiver’s begun life in a different environment.

The Panthers need Horn to build on his newfound momentum this weekend. Although the quarterback distribution is sometimes inconsistent from Jameis Winston, the New Orleans Saints are blessed with talented playmakers in the passing game that represent a huge obstacle to overcome.

Michael Thomas is healthy and firing on all cylinders, which is a major problem for Carolina. The Saints also possess dynamic first-round selection Chris Olave, who can take the top off a defense with blazing speed and efficiency.

Couple this with the presence of veteran Jarvis Landry and Donte Jackson’s injury status, and Carolina needs a career-best outing from Horn in pursuit of ending their extremely concerning slide.
