Laviska Shenault Jr. – Carolina Panthers WR/RB
This is all dependent on whether the Carolina Panthers activate Laviska Shenault Jr. Something that hasn’t occurred since his trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars shortly before final cuts were announced.
Shenault should now be familiar with what’s expected within Ben McAdoo’s scheme. Considering how bland things are from an offensive standpoint, this might be the time Carolina finally unleashes the dual-threat weapon following a period of adjustment.
Carolina can use Shenault in multiple ways. Playing him on the outside hasn’t brought that much success over his career so working in the slot or in motion has the potential to provide the Panthers with a spark they’ve been sorely lacking.
Getting one over on the New Orleans Saints secondary is not an easy task. They looked to have Tom Brady’s number before Marshon Lattimore was ejected in Week 2, so McAdoo must find creative ways to keep this unit guessing to stand any chance of success.
Forcing his way into the Panthers’ plans is the biggest remaining obstacle for Shenault. But outstanding physicality and ability to generate yards after the catch could mean his impact is immediate if given the opportunity.
