Carolina Panthers must contain Taysom Hill
Taysom Hill is the player that defies definition.
Is he a quarterback? Not really.
Tight end? Maybe.
The versatile player could even be considered a wildcat running back at this point. But the only thing that anyone needs to know is that the New Orleans Saints’ not-so-secret weapon is a real problem for even the best defense.
Hill may not have won the starting quarterback job from Jameis Winston last year. However, the player is still a vital piece to this Saints offense and can hurt the Carolina Panthers if afforded enough space in which to work.
There are just so many ways that Hill can beat a defense. A true jack of all trades that draws in all the defense’s attention and then laughs at it as he runs by.
Hill’s unpredictability is what makes him so dangerous. He has blown games open against the Panthers in the past and that’s something that cannot happen in Week 3 given who else is lining up at the skill positions.
Eliminating Hill from the equation won’t win the game in itself. But being able to use that attention on the other stars instead just might be what tips the scales in the Panthers’ favor.
