4 sneaky threats the Panthers must respect vs. Saints in Week 3

Carolina Panthers must not underestimate Cameron Jordan
Cameron Jordan has been a force on the New Orleans defensive line for more than a decade. The edge rusher has also enjoyed plenty of success against the Carolina Panthers in recent years.
Although he’s firmly in the twilight of his career, Jordan is still impactful. Despite not registering a sack in 2022 as yet, the former first-round selection has made a huge impact in the run game and knows how to clog gaps with outstanding efficiency.
With how Carolina’s offensive line has been playing, Jordan will fancy his chances of giving the Panthers all they can handle in Week 3. With quarterback Baker Mayfield’s indifferent production under pressure, the protection needs to hold up against a dominant Saints front seven led by Jordan.
If they can’t and Jordan generates some early momentum against rookie left tackle Ikem Ekwonu, we all know that’s all the California product needs to leave a lasting impression on proceedings. After all, this is a player that gained 3.5 sacks during the last meeting between the two sides in 2021.
However, should the offensive line hold up sufficiently against Jordan, there will be a great sense of optimism regarding the development of this unit going forward.
