Can the Carolina Panthers finally break the NFL’s longest losing streak against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3 at Bank of America Stadium?

There is an enormous amount of pressure on the Carolina Panthers heading into a crunch divisional matchup versus the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. It’s been more than a calendar year since their last regular-season success at Bank of America Stadium, with the team also on a 10-game losing run and sitting at 2-14 over their last 16 outings.

Not exactly the most encouraging sign that things are going well for head coach Matt Rhule. The head coach is under growing strain to turn things around at the earliest possible opportunity and with three straight home games upcoming for the Panthers, it represents a make-or-break stretch that could shape the future of the franchise.

The Saints pose a significant threat despite the change in coaching this offseason when Sean Payton decided to step away. They’ll also be eager to put last weekend’s defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers behind them in pursuit of potentially securing a wildcard berth down the line.

As for the Panthers, this is a must-win. Anything less would be a failure and would make for a very heated atmosphere amongst the fans in attendance.

Carolina Panthers injury report for Week 3 vs. Saints

The Panthers have a relatively clean bill of health for Week 3. Although there remains some concern about the status of cornerback Donte Jackson, who left Week 2 early with a hamstring problem and is a game-time decision, according to Rhule.

For the Saints, Alvin Kamara and Jameis Winston are expected to be active despite concerns about their health. New Orleans is also dealing with knocks to top guys such as Marcus Maye and stud right tackle Ryan Ramczyk.

Carolina Panthers bets Week 3

Carolina is currently 2.5-point underdogs on home soil with FanDuel Sportsbook after starting the week at +3.0. The Panthers sit at +116 on the money line (bet $100 to win $116), with the Saints favored to triumph at -136 (bet $136 to win $100).

FanDuel has the over/under at 41.5 points. The under is available at -112 (bet $112 to win $100) and anyone that fancies the over can bet it at -108 (bet $108 to win $100).

It’s hard to know which way this is going to go where Carolina’s concerned. The stakes are incredibly high after two-straight defeats to start 2022, but anyone betting on them does so at their own risk.
