Matt Rhule and the Carolina Panthers go in search of back-to-back victories at Bank of America Stadium against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4.

Getting their first win of the season was just the start. What’s important for the Carolina Panthers is building on this en route to potentially getting this franchise competitive once again for the first time under Matt Rhule.

The Panthers relied heavily on defense and special teams to get them over the hump in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. While the offensive side of things still needs work, there was a lot to like about the way Carolina applied themselves in these key areas and hopefully, it can become a springboard for bigger and better things to come.

Next up for the Panthers is another home clash versus the Arizona Cardinals. This was the team Carolina trounced in Week 10 last season during Cam Newton’s sensational return, but they cannot take a team led by star quarterback Kyler Murray lightly by any stretch of the imagination.

Confidence should be high within the locker room. And there’s just no telling what another triumph would do for morale after so much failure since Rhule took over the reins.

Carolina Panthers vs. Cardinals Odds Week 4

According to the latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook, the Panthers are 1.5-point favorites to get one over on the Cardinals in Week 4. This was set at 1.0-point to start the week and can be wagered at -108 (bet $108 to win $100).

Carolina is currently -120 on the money line (bet $120 to win $100), with Arizona sitting as slight underdogs at +102 (bet $100 to win $102).

FanDuel is expecting a relatively high-scoring affair that’s been set at 43.5 points. The over is available at -112 (bet $112 to win $100), with the under currently set at -108 (bet $108 to win $100).

Carolina Panthers vs. Cardinals Prediction Week 4

Not having to deal with star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins due to suspension is a boost. But the Cardinals still have an abundance of weapons available and one of the league’s most dynamic quarterbacks making things happen out of nothing.

Murray is a significant threat that poses a concern to the Panthers. However, the protection in front of the former No. 1 overall selection is often suspect and something Carolina can take advantage of.

It’ll be interesting to see how Baker Mayfield and the offense fares versus a stout defensive front and athletic linebacker corps. A task made more challenging by the evident lack of continuity and bland route concepts within Ben McAdoo’s scheme.

As the odds state, this is another game likely to be decided by fine margins. The crowd at Bank of America Stadium should be amped up and behind the team following last weekend’s success, which might make all the difference when it’s all said and done.

With that being said, we are taking the Panthers to gain a second-consecutive victory against opposition they’ve got the better of more often than not in recent years.
