Jaycee Horn – Carolina Panthers CB

After a disheartening injury only three weeks into his rookie season, Jaycee Horn finally looks like the player that took the NFL by storm again. That is a dangerous thing for the league and especially the Arizona Cardinals.

Following an offseason suspension and a knee injury that took out Arizona’s top two receivers, the last man standing is Hollywood Brown. This isn’t to say that there aren’t any other pass-catchers for this team, but the former Baltimore Raven is the only proven target for Kyler Murray outside of veteran tight end Zach Ertz.

Horn is coming off a game where he gave up no completions and hauled in an interception. Another huge step forward for the No. 8 overall selection in 2021 and something he can build on moving forward.

With that said, Horns’ performance will be vital. Shutting down a team’s only true passing threat is the easiest way to handicap Arizona in Week 4 as the Carolina Panthers look to secure back-to-back victories for the first time in 2022.

This will also allow the team to place a struggling Donte Jackson on the Cardinals’ No. 2 receiver which could somewhat mask that liability and makes things easier for the defense overall.

If Horn can take Brown out of the equation it will go a long way to securing the second victory in a row and a true build of momentum for this Panthers squad.
