Christian McCaffrey – Carolina Panthers RB

Christian McCaffrey has back-to-back games of more than 100 rushing yards for the first time since his historic 2019 campaign. Averaging 4.3 yards-per-carry on 25 touches, fantasy owners saw the All-Pro eclipse the century mark again, finishing with 108 yards on the ground.

On a more surprising note, McCaffrey only had two receptions on four targets for seven yards. Not exactly a recipe for success and a big reason why the Carolina Panthers are struggling in the passing game.

With his skill set, it is a mystery why he is not more involved in terms of targets. Hopefully, this can alter positively moving forward.

Start or Sit in Week 2?

START.

With a season-high 27 touches, and increasing each outing, McCaffrey is becoming the focal point of the offense yet again. Even though he only has one touchdown to his name this season, fantasy owners must expect that number to climb soon.

With the Arizona Cardinals blitzing more than any other team this season, expect an increase of short passes to McCaffrey when Baker Mayfield is under pressure.

One potential complication could be the thigh problem McCaffrey suffered in Week 3 that’s kept him out of practice this week. Something to keep an eye on as game day approaches.
