Carolina Panthers fantasy football outlook for Week 4 vs. Cardinals
D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR
D.J. Moore and Baker Mayfield have not been on the same page all season. Last Sunday’s outing versus the New Orleans Saints was a prime example as the wide receiver caught one of six targets for two yards to go with two carries for 13 yards.
In what was a frustrating outing for fantasy owners, the Carolina Panthers’ offense has been rather flat this season. So Moore is not the only underachiever within the group.
Start or Sit in Week 2?
BUYER BEWARE.
Moore ran a route on all of Mayfield’s dropbacks last week, so the potential is there for a big outing. The Arizona Cardinals’ secondary is weaker on the outside of any team the Panthers have faced this season, which could lead to prime opportunities for the Maryland product to make a substantial impact.
He is worthy of a flex role in Week 4.
Robbie Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
Week 1 saw Robbie Anderson go for more than 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. The last fortnight has seen the veteran secure four receptions for 46 yards combined.
The initial outing seems to be an outlier for fantasy owners as the passing game is not clicking in Carolina. With only a single catch for 14 yards versus the Saints, Anderson’s potential for fantasy points has suffered as Mayfield is still finding his way in offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo’s offense.
Start or Sit in Week 2?
SIT.
Week 1 was fantastic, but everything since is underwhelming. Until McAdoo changes the play calling and Mayfield gets on track, it is best to sit Anderson this week.
Arizona blitzes often to potentially cause chaos in the passing game for Anderson.
