Christian McCaffrey prop bets

  • Over 70 rushing yards at +210 (FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Carolina Panthers continue to make things more complicated than they need to be where Christian McCaffrey is concerned. Offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo is struggling to figure out the right balance with his best weapon, which reared its ugly head in Week 4 with minimal rushing attempts despite the game being pretty close until the fourth quarter.

McCaffrey looks fresh and free of the injury problems that impacted his availability over the last two seasons. Until the Panthers come up with the right formula schematically, then almost everyone on offense is going to struggle on occasion.

Gaining yards on the ground versus the San Francisco 49ers this weekend will be enormously difficult. DeMeco Ryans’ defense is conceding just 73.3 yards per game against the run – ranked No. 2 in the league – so there could be further frustrations incoming if McCaffrey is not utilized correctly.

Carolina must set the tone early and go from there. That means giving McCaffrey the football in the hope he can gain enough momentum to make life easier for Baker Mayfield on third downs.

The former first-round pick remains an elite contributor that is more than capable of putting up numbers against anyone. With that being said, backing McCaffrey to go over 70 rushing yards at +210 (bet $100 to win $210) with FanDuel Sportsbook is a tempting proposition.
