Carolina Panthers must slow down Nick Bosa

Nick Bosa is a premier pass rusher that can wreak havoc for any offensive line. Especially a totally revamped one like the Carolina Panthers who are still learning to play alongside each other.

The protection has a tall task going against Bosa. His size and athleticism present so many problems for an offense and judging by his performance against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, the Ohio State product is firing on all cylinders.

Bosa is currently leading the NFL in sacks with six. His 22 pressures through four games are also extremely impressive.

DeMeco Ryans will more than likely get him matched up with Ikem Ekwonu as much as he can. The rookie left tackle has improved with each game, but the magnitude of this challenge is a daunting task for even the most experienced veteran.

Offensive line coach James Campen and Carolina’s offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo must have a great game plan to try and slow down Bosa. But in truth, he’s bound to have a moment or two that could tip the scales.

He will be the biggest problem the Panthers will deal with when the San Francisco 49ers’ defense takes the field. However, they cannot over-focus on the defensive end with so many gifted playmakers at all three levels.
