Carolina Panthers must give Christian McCaffrey 20-25 touches

Christian McCaffrey had just eight carries against the Arizona Cardinals. This is despicable and a primary reason why the offense looks to be stuck between a rock in a hard place.

The Carolina Panthers coaching staff has neglected McCaffrey in the game plan. There is no reason not to give your best player the ball 20-25 times a game when he’s healthy.

Carolina’s offense will continue to look like the worst in the league if something doesn’t change due to the coaching staff’s incompetence. Make no mistake, the San Francisco 49ers know that, too.

The scheme is outdated and not fit for the modern-day NFL. One primary reason why the best teams in the league excel consistently is their ability to evolve as the years go by based on the trends and what has been working,

Ben McAdoo has failed to realize that defensive coordinators have been there and done that and are more than prepared for this offense, which looks more like a high school scheme with every passing week. NFL athletes are tailored to destroy this system as they can rely on tape and tendencies.

Defenses know what’s coming from this scheme based on alignment. McAdoo runs the same play out of the same formation rather than adding nuances to keep the opposition off balance.

Time is running out before the door is shut on the Panthers’ playoff hopes. So leaning on McCaffrey would be a wise move at this juncture.
