DJ Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

The Carolina Panthers’ offense has been a nightmare this season. There isn’t really one player or coach to lay the blame on, but one specific superstar has to step up and once again put the team on their back if anything is going to change.

That player is D.J. Moore.

To put it simply, Moore has not been a No. 1 receiver this season for the Panthers. Although much of that is on the shoulders of Baker Mayfield and Ben McAdoo’s scheme.

However, at some point, a true superstar must take over the game. That just hasn’t happened for Moore this season and the young wideout faces a stern test in Week 6 against All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Averaging 34 receiving yards a game on a staggering 44.8 percent catch success rate just doesn’t cut it in today’s NFL. Especially for someone coming off of three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with less than stellar support from the quarterback.

The Panthers fanbase has been screaming for Moore to get more recognition. Something that could be aided by the presence of Steve Wilks, who’ll likely have a big input in McAdoo’s system despite being known for his defensive prowess.

This is not going to be an easy challenge, especially with backup P.J. Walker at the helm. But this is just the time a truly elite player will take over and lead his team to victory.
