Jaycee Horn – Carolina Panthers CB

The Carolina Panthers finally have their lockdown corner and his name is Jaycee Horn.

The second-year player out of South Carolina has picked up right where he left off last season and has shut down all opposition. Leading to some truly staggering stats when targeted this year.

All of this adds up to Horn being the most valuable player for this Panthers’ defense as there is a severe lack of depth behind him. Even running mate Donte Jackson has struggled at points, which puts more pressure on the No. 8 overall selection in 2021.

Horn gets another solid measuring stick this weekend against Cooper Kupp in what will be the stiffest challenge he has faced to date.

Kupp has legitimate rights to the league’s best wide receiver after the numbers he put up last season. While the Los Angeles Rams have underachieved so far in 2022, that does not apply to their best offensive weapon.

Even in a game dominated by the Dallas Cowboys defense last week, Kupp was still able to rack up 125 receiving yards, including a truly ridiculous 75-yard touchdown where the wideout just outran everyone.

Horn needs to be at the top of his game. Steve Wilks has had a positive impact on the player, which could increase further now he’s head coach and that will be needed in no uncertain terms in Week 6.
