4 Panthers players that can thrive under Steve Wilks in Week 6 at Rams

Matt Ioannidis – Carolina Panthers DT
If there is one weakness on this Los Angeles Rams team that the Carolina Panthers should exploit, it’s the very same one the Dallas Cowboys capitalized on to win. The interior offensive line.
There is a clear disparity in the talent level of the Carolina’s and Dallas’ defensive fronts. Especially when it comes to the pass rush area of the game, which needs closing and the only player that can make that happen is Matt Ioannidis.
Ioannidis was brought to this team to reinforce the interior rush. Although he’s had some nice moments, the former Matt Rhule college player registered only one sack on the year and went without even a single tackle in Week 5.
The Rams have had countless issues with health this season and that is the perfect recipe for the breakout game this team desperately needs. If Ioannidis can’t find success next weekend then what hope does he have against better opposition?
Matthew Stafford has been absolutely horrendous when pressured this year. That was once again proven by the Cowboys in Week 5.
There is a real chance that if the Panthers can generate a pass rush, they could pull off the impossible and steal a win from the defending champions. That begins and ends with Ioannidis and there’s been no indication that the former Temple star is that sort of player.
