Christian McCaffrey prop bets
- Under 62.5 rushing yards at -102 (FanDuel Sportsbook)
No sooner had Matt Rhule been fired, talk swiftly began about the Carolina Panthers potentially trading Christian McCaffrey. Even though nothing concrete emerged and it makes little financial sense given the salary-cap implications surrounding the All-Pro.
McCaffrey remains the heart and soul of Carolina’s offense and is seemingly free of the injury problems that restructured the running back to 10 games over the previous two seasons. With the Panthers down to their fourth-choice quarterback in the wake of Baker Mayfield’s injury, he’ll be counted upon more than ever in pursuit of ending a concerning slump.
The Los Angeles Rams are currently giving up 106.4 rushing yards per game, ranked No. 11 league-wide. Defensive coordinator Raheem Morris will stack the box early and often in pursuit of putting the game in P.J. Walker’s hands, with the presence of stud defensive lineman Aaron Donald something else that could also hinder McCaffrey’s impact on proceedings.
Setting the tone is important. McCaffrey will likely see plenty of work early on, but if the game gets out of hand then rushing the football becomes obsolete and that’s exactly what the Rams will be game-planning for.
With that being said, betting on McCaffrey to attain under 62.5 rushing yards at -102 (bet $102 to win $100) with FanDuel Sportsbook could bring rewards. Although one cannot dismiss the possibility of the Stanford product going off for a huge afternoon at SoFi Stadium.
