Christian McCaffrey could join the Eagles

One of the dark horses that make sense for Christian McCaffrey is the unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles. The NFC East team has enjoyed a phenomenal start to the 2022 campaign, emerging from also-rans into potential Super Bowl challengers after an exceptional offseason of recruitment.

Everything seems to be in place for the Eagles. More importantly, they also have two first-round selections to make a trade like this a reality.

That’s the compensation to tempt the Carolina Panthers, beyond question. This would provide them with another top-end pick to strengthen a position of need, with quarterback likely to be strongly considered by a team desperate for a long-term plan under center.

While this is the best-case scenario for the Panthers, it might not be something the Eagles are contemplating all things considered.

Miles Sanders is running the football extremely well right now, which could mean Philadelphia stands firm while the going is good to prevent potential complications en route to a potential divisional title and conference championship if everything keeps trending upward.

Of all the options in this list, it’s the most unlikely. The Eagles are riding on the crest of a wave even without McCaffrey and keeping their two first-rounders in 2023 will only enhance their chances of becoming a dominant force for years to come.
