Green Bay Packers could trade for Robbie Anderson

The most logical option for a Robbie Anderson trade is the Green Bay Packers. Since trading Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders, they have done little to give NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers suitable weapons in order to sustain a run to the Super Bowl.

The Packers drafted Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson in the fourth and second rounds respectively. But with the North Dakota State product potentially going on injured/reserve with a hamstring injury, that leaves the wide receiver room at Lambeau Field looking light.

They were dealt another blow in Week 6 when Randall Cobb was carted off. Although it’s not as serious as first feared, it might heighten the sense of urgency to give the Carolina Panthers a call.

While Allan Lazard has stepped up admirably in the absence of Adams, he isn’t a true No. 1 option. Anderson might not be either, but he represents a good complimentary piece.

With the Packers losing at home to the New York Jets in Week 6 and sitting at 3-3, head coach Matt LaFleur may be feeling the pressure. This could work in Carolina’s favor if they are intent on removing Anderson from the equation.

One would imagine the Packers would offer a late-round pick for Anderson. But their indifferent start to 2022 may cause Green Bay to gamble.
