What are the best prop bets available when the Carolina Panthers take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7?

Big changes were obviously coming for the Carolina Panthers in the wake of Matt Rhule’s firing. Robbie Anderson being sent to the locker room in Week 6 sped up his trade to the Arizona Cardinals, with those in power also opting to shift Christian McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers in pursuit of a sustainable future.

This might be a good thing in the long run. But it does little to suggest the Panthers can get out of their current slump when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit Bank of America Stadium this weekend.

Tampa Bay is at a 3-3 crossroads after an indifferent start to the campaign. Something quarterback Tom Brady and a talented group will be aiming to put right in a game they are heavily favored to the tune of 13.5 points according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

It could be another long afternoon for the Panthers. To keep things interesting, here are three solid prop bets to consider for anyone making a wager.

  • Over 48.5 receiving yards at -114 (FanDuel Sportsbook)

There are almost no playmakers left outside of D.J. Moore, who has also reportedly received trade interest. However, the Carolina Panthers rightfully consider the wideout to be a foundational piece, so it would take an astronomical offer for the front office to even consider the possibility.

Moore has been underused significantly this season. But without Christian McCaffrey and Robbie Anderson, the former first-round pick should get a substantial amount of targets against a Buccaneers secondary giving up just 193.3 yards per game through the air.

This could be the game Moore starts making a bigger impression. Although nothing is guaranteed, backing the Maryland product to go over 48.5 receiving yards at -114 (bet $114 to win $100) seems like a risk worth taking.
