4 primary factors behind Carolina Panthers incredible Week 7 turnaround

Carolina Panthers QB play was phenomenal
It was the first clean game from a Carolina Panthers quarterback this season and the offense was finally able to move the ball because of that. No matter who was under center before Sunday’s game, they turned the ball over or consistently missed open receivers, unable to play the position with any effectiveness.
P.J. Walker did exactly what Carolina quarterbacks should have been focused on this season. Refusing to force the football, focusing on the run game, and taking risks when required.
Twice this turned into touchdown passes for Walker and helped give the Panthers a commanding lead they never looked like relinquishing.
If Walker continues to play at this level, he will finish the year as the starter. Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield are both turnover-prone and severely lacking consistent production, with interim head coach Steve Wilks already confirming the Temple product will lead from the front once again in Week 8.
Walker simply needs to be a capable game manager to lock down the starting job and give the Panthers a chance to pull off a few more upsets. However, it’s important to remember that the signal-caller has had great games in the past and followed it up with terrible ones that end up with him being benched.
This was a great start but there is still plenty of reason for skepticism that Walker finishes the year as Carolina’s starting quarterback.
