Carolina Panthers could target Jordan Addison

This year’s incoming batch of college recruits at the wide receiver position isn’t deemed as strong as recent drafts, but there are still some intriguing talents that can take the league by storm. One such individual is Jordan Addison, who could be among the first names called and has an elite athletic ability that can be utilized in multiple ways.

Addison put the college football world on notice with an astonishing 1,593 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns for Pittsburgh in 2021. He’s since transferred to USC but shows no signs of slowing down and this smooth transition won’t go unnoticed by NFL scouts when it’s time to evaluate.

There is nothing that jumps out regarding Addison that suggests he cannot thrive at the next level. He is sharp, has exceptional burst, and also comes with a rare ability to get open in crucial situations to further heighten his overall draft stock.

If there was a knock on Addison, it’s from a size standpoint. Something that might restrict him to a slot role at the next level in pursuit of avoiding unnecessary punishment.

That will be for the Carolina Panthers or someone else to decide. But that does not detract from what an outstanding prospect Addison is when one considers all areas of his play.

Addison gets fans out of their seats and is a quarterback’s best friend. Considering the Panthers might also have a rookie quarterback leading them in 2023, it’s something they should consider.
