4 bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers at Falcons in Week 8
By Dean Jones
Carolina Panthers WR D.J. Moore goes over 150 yards
It came as no surprise to see D.J. Moore become one of the main focal points on offense in Week 7. The Carolina Panthers traded away two prominent weapons in Robbie Anderson and Christian McCaffrey, which piled additional pressure on the wide receiver to get out of his concerning slump.
Thankfully for the player and the Panthers, offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo called his finest game of the campaign, allowing Moore opportunities to finally showcase his immense skill set for good measure.
Although Moore has yet to achieve a 100-yard receiving game this season, his production versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers left reasons for encouragement. Considering how much the Atlanta Falcons secondary is struggling right now, this is another big chance for the former Maryland standout to bolster his modest numbers.
Atlanta’s stud cornerback AJ Terrell played just 12 percent of snaps in Week 7 due to injury. he’s already been ruled out for the clash, so Moore could have an extremely profitable afternoon at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Moore has the ability to completely shift the momentum of a road game. If P.J. Walker and the offensive line live up to their end of the bargains, then his first triple-digit contest won’t be far behind.
