Could the Carolina Panthers add to their roster via trade before the 2022 deadline to boost the team’s chances of winning the NFC South?

Although the Carolina Panthers are seemingly a selling organization right now, that might change if those in power feel like there is a legitimate chance of securing the NFC South title and a playoff berth in 2022.

Sunday’s heartbreaking loss at the Atlanta Falcons sees Carolina sitting bottom of the NFC South. Even though fans might think otherwise, those within the building won’t be throwing in the towel just yet.

While moving recently acquired draft capital seems unlikely, one thing that cannot be dismissed is the possibility given general manager Scott Fitterer’s wheeling and dealing since joining Carolina from a successful spell with the Seattle Seahawks.

Even though it doesn’t appear as if the Panthers are in the correct position to make an incoming trade, here are four players they should consider if the price is right.

Carolina Panthers should consider Greedy Williams

Adding to the cornerback room is something the Carolina Panthers have done with mixed success in recent years. The acquisition of C.J. Henderson comes with concerns, so a trade for someone like Greedy Williams might be something to consider if the Cleveland Browns become receptive.

Williams is reportedly drawing interest and the former second-round pick is relatively fresh having played just twice in 2022 due to injury. Outside of Jaycee Horn, no cornerback is producing enough consistency, so the LSU product represents an enticing option if the Panthers decide to become shock buyers in the coming days.
