Considering the expectations surrounding the Denver Broncos this offseason, they’ve massively underachieved so far. Just how much a London win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8 will do for their confidence is up for debate, but there are growing concerns that head coach Nathaniel Hackett is not the right man to lead this franchise long-term.
Russell Wilson’s high-profile trade from the Seattle Seahawks just hasn’t gone according to plan. There’s a chance things have improved by the time they take on the Carolina Panthers, but Steve Wilks’ men can look at this one as a winnable fixture before their extended period of rest.
Denver has the talent to cause the Panthers significant problems. However, there are also chinks in their armor that can be exploited if game-planned effectively.
Prediction: Win (4-8)
The Panthers will be weary and acing by this point after a grueling run of games. The NFL is all about digging deep and finding reserves in the face of adversity, which Wilks will be demanding from his players in pursuit of gaining just their fourth victory of the campaign.
Something they look more than capable of. Although the Broncos are an unpredictable unit that can hurt any team when in the mood.
