Carolina Panthers could target Lamar Jackson

We are now entering a dream scenario that seems extremely unlikely. But the longer Lamar Jackson‘s contract dispute with the Baltimore Ravens goes on, the more speculation will mount.

Jackson has made himself some serious money this season. Terms couldn’t be reached prior to the campaign due to the reported guaranteed dollars on the table, which is something the Ravens might regret after the signal-caller’s first half of the campaign.

The former Louisville stud looks more electrifying than ever. There’s also been some encouraging progress in Jackson’s pocket distribution, which is matched by the outstanding running ability that makes him a significant obstacle to overcome.

Baltimore has the option of franchise-tagging Jackson over the next two years, which they will do in the event a new contract cannot be agreed upon. This won’t go down well with the player after everything he’s given to the organization, so a tipping point could arrive quickly depending on how things play out.

The Carolina Panthers should be taking a keen interest in developments. Sacrificing substantial draft capital and agreeing to a record-breaking contract is almost a necessity, but this would be a franchise-altering move to propel them back to relevancy in the blink of an eye.
