Everything you need to know ahead of the Carolina Panthers’ tricky-looking trip to the defending AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9.

The Carolina Panthers face another stern test in Week 9 when they visit the Cincinnati Bengals. Last season’s AFC champions aren’t having things their own way this time around despite some significant investment this spring, so interim head coach Steve Wilks could see this as a good opportunity to continue building momentum in the hope of winning the job beyond 2022.

Carolina looks like a completely different outfit under Wilks. There is more collective purpose within the building and the Panthers also look expansive and creative in terms of game planning for specific opponents.

The Bengals won’t want to be upset on home soil as they look to mount another postseason push in 2022. Carolina’s postseason aspirations are now non-existent after such a heartbreaking loss at the Atlanta Falcons, but the players remain resolute and they’ll be fighting hard for Wilks every step of the way.

Whether that’s enough to pick up their best win of the season by a considerable margin is another matter. But it’ll be fun to watch things unfold in such a hostile environment.

Donte Jackson looks set to take his place in the lineup after missing two practices this week.

The Panthers are +270 on the money line (bet $100 to win $270), with the Bengals heavily favored at -335 (bet $335 to win $100) to get their campaign back on track. FanDuel’s over/under for the game is 42.5 points, which can be wagered at -110 in both directions.

Carolina Panthers at Bengals best bets

Considering the fight shown by the Panthers last weekend at the Atlanta Falcons coupled with the Bengals missing some key pieces, betting them to cover the 7.0-point spread is a tempting proposition. It could go horribly wrong, obviously, but this team is showing remarkable progress under Wilks and this should stand them in good stead over their remaining fixtures.

Tipping running back D’Onta Foreman to find the end-zone again after his three-touchdown outing in Week 8 at +125 (bet $100 to win $125) with FanDuel Sportsbook could also bring rewards.
