4 bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers vs. Falcons in Week 10
By Dean Jones
Here are some bold predictions as the Carolina Panthers look to shine on primetime against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10.
It’s been pretty bad for the Carolina Panthers in 2022. But Sunday’s hammering at the Cincinnati Bengals was the worst of a terrible bunch by a considerable margin.
There is so much wrong with this team right now. Steve Wilks has a monumental task on his hands on a short week before the all-black Panthers helmets take the field in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons, which is their only nationally televised game of the season.
Wilks was under no illusions as to the size of this particular task after taking over from Matt Rhule. Confidence is undeniably low and expectations from the fans are at rock bottom, but this is a chance for the Panthers to show resolve and impress the entire NFL world watching.
The Falcons are looking to continue their pursuit of a shock divisional title, so they won’t want to slip up against a team they were fortunate to beat in Week 8. With that in mind, here are four bold predictions for the Panthers on Thursday Night Football.
Bold Prediction No. 1
Carolina Panthers RB Raheem Blackshear gains 100+ all-purpose yards
There were very few bright spots for the Carolina Panthers last weekend. However, the encouraging performance of Raheem Blackshear was one of them.
The running back looked explosive when given opportunities. Blackshear is fitting into a secondary role behind D’Onta Foreman well, although his status against the Atlanta Falcons could ultimately depend on whether Chuba Hubbard is fit enough to participate.
If Hubbard cannot go and Blackshear also gets some return responsibilities, then the former Virginia Tech star could go over 100 all-purpose yards in this one.
