5 Carolina Panthers on the hot seat in Week 10 vs. Falcons

C.J. Henderson – Carolina Panthers CB
It’s disappointing to see C.J. Henderson‘s name mentioned on this list after his starring performance in Week 8. But this was swiftly followed by another inept showing at the Cincinnati Bengals that halted his momentum abruptly.
This has been the tale of the tape since Henderson entered the league. At times he looks like a true showdown corner, but the consistency just isn’t there and the Bengals victimized him early and often during their convincing triumph last time out.
Henderson must bounce back and turn in a quality effort against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football. Something he could be capable of given how well he showed out in the first meeting between the NFC South rivals a fortnight ago.
The jury is still out on Henderson, in all honesty. The Carolina Panthers still don’t know for sure whether he can be a dependable presence opposite Jaycee Horn long-term, but much will also depend on who’s appointed as Matt Rhule’s replacement when the time comes.
Dealing with a pass-catching outfit that consists of Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and the returning Cordarrelle Patterson will be difficult. But if the Panthers can generate enough pressure and keep quarterback Marcus Mariota contained, Henderson could put in a solid showing in the face of adversity.
