The growing emergence of Terrace Marshall Jr. has been encouraging to see in the wake of Matt Rhule’s firing. This is a major positive for the wide receiver, who’s been a bit-part player at best since the Carolina Panthers selected him at No. 59 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Marshall and Rhule didn’t hit it off, which left the former LSU standout on the outside looking in despite his outstanding physical attributes. Staying healthy was also a concern, but these complications also look to be a thing of the past based on recent performances.

Sunday’s game at the Cincinnati Bengals won’t be remembered fondly. But it was the scene for Marshall’s first career touchdown which we tipped in last week’s prop bets feature.

Although it didn’t impact the overall outcome, it’s another milestone for Marshall as he looks to become a true No. 2 option behind D.J. Moore. The Atlanta Falcons’ secondary is suspect, so the player could have another profitable evening providing quarterback P.J. Walker shakes off his dismal Week 9 outing at the earliest possible opportunity.

Backing Marshall to go over 38.5 receiving yards at -113 (bet $113 to win $100) with FanDuel Sportsbook seems feasible. But the Panthers need to start off far better than they managed to accomplish in Cincinnati.
