P.J. Walker prop bets

  • Over 165.5 passing yards at -113 (FanDuel Sportsbook)

After P.J. Walker sent shockwaves through the NFL with his miraculous throw to almost secure victory for the Carolina Panthers in Week 8, we saw the other side of his production last time out. A disastrous performance at the Cincinnati Bengals resulted in the quarterback getting benched at halftime in favor of Baker Mayfield, which is something many expected to continue this Thursday despite the short week.

As it turned out, Walker needn’t have worried about his starting status. Interim head coach Steve Wilks announced the Temple product as the No. 1 once again versus a team that he torched during the second half before mistakes cost the Panthers dearly in the closing stages.

Perhaps Wilks is banking on Walker returning to the production that caught the eye massively at the Atlanta Falcons. He seems like a resilient character, but just what that effort on Sunday’s done to his confidence is undetermined until we see the signal-caller in a pressurized setting once again.

Atlanta’s secondary finds life difficult on occasions and they don’t have stud cornerback A.J. Terrell once again. Something Walker took advantage of during their previous encounter and if the same happens again, Carolina could be in line for a huge win in front of their home support.

Even though it’s risky, backing Walker to throw more than 165.5 passing yards at -113 (bet $113 to win $100) could be worth its weight in gold if the former XFL star bounces back.
